Safest Areas & Areas to Avoid in Montpellier, VT
We are looking for a round-up of the top five safest places and the top five most dangerous places within your city. This should not be a subjective evaluation—we’re looking for safest and most dangerous places as defined by crime data for your city—wherever you can include relevant, up-to-date statistics to back up your points the better.
You have some flexibility in terms of how you choose to define “place” – for example, a place could be a single street (Manhattan Street, for example) or else it could be an entire neighborhood (The Bronx) or a section of a neighborhood (East Bronx). It could even be something more amorphous, such as “The Subway after Dark.”
For the most dangerous listings, call out specifically what makes them dangerous (are they known for muggings, for example? Murders?), how frequently these events occur, whether or not the danger is amplified at certain times of day and what, if anything, people can do to protect themselves if they should find themselves in this area.
Please be opinionated, informal, playful, and conversational (imagine you are giving straightforward, no-holds-barred advice to a close friend).
Please be sure that your advice is always clear and actionable.
Avoid superlatives. Instead of describing something as "wonderful / amazing / incredible / terrific" paint a picture of the "wonderful / amazing / incredible" situation with details (in other words "show" don't "tell").
Back it up. Please back up claims with examples and statistics. For example, if you're talking about the "highest" hotel, the "lowest" point of a city you'll need to back it up with relevant statistics (It's the tallest hotel in the city at a mile high). Include examples of dishes at restaurants (knowing that a restaurant serves French-Japanese fare is not enough—we want to know that they serve dishes like salmon-tartare dumplings and black cod seasoned with miso)
Prove you were there. We're not looking for descriptions that could have come straight from a hotel website or a PR release. Prove you know this city/hotel/restaurant by sharing the kind of information only an insider would know.
