What are 10 phrases, lingo, pronounciations, references, etc. that make your city unique. For example, in New York they pronounce "Houston Street" like "HOW-STON" not like the city in Texas). Include some funny anecdotes/stories of how these localisms caused confusion or how they came about. * Please be opinionated, informal, playful, and conversational (imagine you are giving straightforward, no-holds-barred advice to a close friend).* Please be sure that your advice is always clear and actionable.* Avoid superlatives. Instead of describing something as "wonderful / amazing / incredible / terrific" paint a picture of the "wonderful / amazing / incredible" situation with details (in other words "show" don't "tell").* Back it up. Please back up claims with examples and statistics. For example, if you're talking about the "highest" hotel, the "lowest" point of a city you'll need to back it up with relevant statistics (It's the tallest hotel in the city at a mile high). Include examples of dishes at restaurants (knowing that a restaurant serves French-Japanese fare is not enoughówe want to know that they serve dishes like salmon-tartare dumplings and black cod seasoned with miso)* Prove you were there. We're not looking for descriptions that could have come straight from a hotel website or a PR release.
